Why look, it's my old friend, DJ Relativity, who stopped by as part of his whirlwind tour of the country. We went down to burro wash for a day hike.

Mostly Morbid Utah News
- In June of this year, Ronnie Lee Gardner will become the first person in the U.S. to be executed by firing squad since 1996 (also in Utah.)
"Gardner's cousin, Jerry Hainsworth, said Gardner told him a few years ago: 'I'd rather do it that way because I've been shot a bunch of times.'"
- Zion National Park has already reached its yearly average for visitor deaths with the loss of two young men, apparently hoping to get on Man v. Wild.
"The raft was made of logs, said park spokesman Ron Terry, and the two men, both in their 20s, put into the river without seeking a permit from park rangers. The men were trying to navigate the river through the stretch known as The Narrows."

A Hell of a Place to Lose a Cow
The road in from Hanksville (pop. 203.). The isolation in Utah is a little deceptive because there aren't any services at every spot on the map. Hanksville is actually an oasis.
