We got about three inches of rain in a twenty-four hour period last week. The annual average is eleven.
Although it makes for lousy hiking weather, it's a good time to go see the so-called "ethereal waterfalls" that only appear when it rains.
Fun fact: Despite their name, ethereal waterfalls are made up entirely of water, and are not actually ether.
